Elizabeth Beth Rudd

Graveside services for Elizabeth H. Beth Rudd, 91, are 10:00 am, Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Horne Cemetery in Metcalf with the Rev. Charles Neely officiating. Pall bearers are Kyle Garner, Ted Davis, Kent Lassiter, Olin Horne, Richard Poulk and Tommy Johnson. Mrs. Rudd died Tuesday, August 28, 2007 peacefully at the home of her son after a brief illness. Born May 30, 1916, in Thomas Co., she was the daughter of the late Elmer T. & Elizabeth Smith Horne, Sr. She was a lifelong resident of Metcalf, a member of Metcalf Methodist Church for many years and most recently a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Metcalf. She was married to Berry Rudd, who preceded her in death. Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Andrew B. & Shirley Rudd, of Monticello, FL; granddaughters, Amy Lassiter of Madison, FL; Kim Garner and Andria Davis, both of Tallahassee, sisters, Jane Williams of California, Fran Thomas of Jacksonville, brother Elmer Horne, Jr., of Tallahassee and 10 great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were her children Betsy, Bill and Will. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday, August 31, 2007 at Friendship Baptist Church in Metcalf.
