Services for Elizabeth Harvell Craven, 85 of Whigham will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 8, 2019 at Cairo Church of God. Rev. DeWayne Atkinson will officiate. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery but no graveside services will be held. Mrs. Craven passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Camellia Gardens. Born July 28, 1933 in Havana, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Sam Harvell and Evelyn Kelly Harvell. She was married to Luther Edison Craven, Sr., who preceded her in death just 3 short months ago. She attended Cairo Church of God and loved cooking. She was a homemaker who loved and cared for her family like a mother and grandmother should, raising 9 of her own children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Patricia Trotman and husband Bobby of Cairo, Shirley Pyles and husband Bobby of Cairo, Billy Stephens and wife Carolyn of Whigham, Nancy Hester of Whigham, Gloria Gainous of Cairo, Michael Stephens and wife Sonya of Cairo, Johnny Stephens and wife Sheila of Cairo, Angel Husbands and husband Bill of Tallahassee and Teddy Craven and wife Kathie of Thomasville; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 11 siblings. The family will receive friends 1-2pm, before the service at the church.
