Services for Elizabeth Morris Graham, 90, of Thomasville will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 19, 2014 in the First Baptist Church sanctuary where she was a member. The Rev. Marty Carnes and Dr. Tom Jacobs will officiate and interment will be in Big Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, William Graham, Reggie Graham, Rodney Graham, Mike Barwick, Ken Barwick and Derrick Ogletree. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Raney, Jeff Willis, Howard Floyd, Merrell Lassiter, Bob Howell and Charles Voss. Mrs. Graham passed away on January 17, 2014. Born December 29, 1923 in Canton, GA, she was the first of seven children born to the late Joseph Glenn Morris and Susan Annie Smith Morris. On August 29, 1942 in Moultrie, GA, she married JB Graham and they were married for 63 years. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2006. She was a Christian and was faithful to attend worship services and Sunday School. She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed going to family reunions and had many friends and greeted everyone with a smile. She enjoyed working in her yard as long as she was able and baking cakes and pecan pies to share with family and friends. Mrs. Graham lived in Merrillville for 59 years and was a member of Merrillville Baptist Church, of which she was secretary and treasurer of WMU for 27 years. She was presented a plaque for faithful service and attendance to the WMU. She moved her membership to First Baptist in Thomasville on Mother’s Day in 2009. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Brenda Graham of Cairo, GA, daughter , Revonda Barwick of Thomasville, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Diane Graham of Yulee, FL; seven grandchildren, Tammy Barwick and fiancé Philip Lewis, Mike Barwick and wife Louise, Ken Barwick and wife Leigh, William Graham and wife Christi, Reggie Graham and wife Sharon, Rodney Graham and wife Andi, Marcus Barwick, Jr. and wife Vickie, fourteen great grandchildren, four great- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; step sister Jeanette Mote Brown. She was preceded in death by sisters Josephine Collins, Louise M. Brown, and Gennette M. Brown; brothers Talmadge Morris, Wayne Morris and Lewis Morris son-in-law Marcus Barwick, Sr. and granddaughter Julie Graham Reeves. Elizabeth celebrated her 90th birthday in December with a reception at Merrillville Baptist Church, where she enjoyed being with family and friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or charity of your choice.
