Funeral services for Eloise Burchfield Griffin, 80, of Thomasville, are 11:00 am, Friday, September 14, 2007 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Lee Waller officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Phillip Greek, Matthew Greek, Dr. Jason Griffin, J.J. Michaels, Danny Burchfield, and Jerry Burchfield. Mrs. Griffin died September 12, 2007, at Archbold Hospital. Born October 15, 1926, in Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Benton & Emma Estelle Glaze Burchfield. She was married to Aubrey E. Griffin, who precedes her in death. She was a homemaker and private duty nurse, a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Ronald E. & Mavis Griffin, of Live Oak, FL, daughter & son-in-law, Audre Rene & Jimmy Greek, of Meigs, brothers, Rev. Dr. Marcell Burchfield, of Tarrant City, AL, James Herschell Burchfield, of Calera, AL, Billy Ray Burchfield, of Fultondale, AL, sister, Norma Faye Brehmer, of Birmingham, AL, grandchildren, Dr. Jason Griffin and wife Pam, Jill Wilder and husband Charles, Joni Griffin, Jennifer Smallwood, Phillip Greek, Matthew Greek, Amber Greek, Ashley Greek, and 6 great grandchildren. A son, Phillip Griffin, brothers, Cecil Burchfield and Leodis Burchfield, preceded her in death. The family will receive friends 6:30-8: pm, Thursday, at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
