Graveside services for Eloise Knapp Burke of Thomasville are at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 26, 2005, at Horne Cemetery in Metcalfe. Mrs. Burke died Thursday February 24, 2005 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. Born on May 22, 1917 in Thomas County, she was the daughter of the late W.T. and Bessie Elizabeth Gray Knapp. She was retired from Southwestern State Hospital and was a member of First Baptist Church in Thomasville. She was married to P.G. Burke who preceded her in death. Survivors include her grandsons Shawn Burke and Glenn Burke; great grandchildren Alex Burke and Anna Burke.
