Graveside services for Elsie Moore Vann will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Vann died at her home in Roswell, Ga on October 31, 2006. A lifelong Georgian, she was born in Savannah in June 1926 and grew up in Waycross and Thomasville. She was married to the late Herbert W. Vann for over 40 years until his death in July, 1989. She received
an undergraduate degree in early childhood education from Valdosta State Univerity and a Masters degree from Georgia State University. She was a dedicated elementary school teacher for over four decades, teaching in Valdosta, Macon and Cobb County until the onset of her ilnedd in May 2006. She was a longtime active member and officer of the Roswell Presbyterian Church where she was a regular fixture with the Wednesday Night Super Clean Up Crew. Mrs. Vann is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard & Ann Vann of Thomasville, a daughter and son-in-law, Sissy and David Rozier of Roswell, Ga, and grandchildren, Rich Vann of Atlanta, Laura Vann of Boulder, Co. and Elizabeth and Rand Rozier of Rozwell, and brother, J. Frank Moore of Vidalia. She is preceded in death by a sister Betty M. Williams, brother J.Tom Moore.
