Elzie Palmer

Services for Elzie Palmer will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at 10:00 AM in Laurel Hill Cemetery and a Memorial service in the First Baptist Church Chapel at 4:00 PM. The Rev Dr. Milton C. Gardner and Rev. Dan Spencer will officiate. Mr. Palmer died on Sunday June 30, 2002 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 21, 1939 in Grady Co., to the late Robert Palmer and Ollie Mae Owens Palmer who survives. He was retired as President and CEO of Thomasville Coca Cola Bottling Co., was a member of First Baptist Church, Glen Arven Country Club, was active in the Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce, was a graduate of Cairo High School and was an Army veteran. He was married to Brenda Morris Palmer in the First Baptist Church in 1964. Survivors include his wife Brenda Morris Palmer of Thomasville, daughter and son-in-law Kayce and Dan Crocker of Thomasville, son Lance Palmer of Los Angeles, Ca., grandaughters Charlotte Noel Crocker and Emmaline Virginia Crocker of Thomasville, mother Ollie Mae Owens Palmer of Cairo, brother Talmadge Palmer of Dothan, Al., and sister Shirley Beck of Leesburg, Ga. Memorials may be made to the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center at 116 Mimosa Dr. Thomasville, Ga. 31792.
