Florence Grant, age 84, of Thomasville, GA, passed away on March 21, 2026. Born on May 26, 1941, in Moultrie, GA, Florence lived a life rooted in faith, guided by kindness, and marked by a generous spirit. She retired from Archbold Memorial Hospital after dedicating many decades as the Lab Office Manager. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Millsap Rogers and Lessye Rommel Blanton Rogers.
Florence was a devoted Christian whose faith was the foundation of her life. She was an avid reader, with a particular passion for history, and delighted in sharing her love of books and history with her children and grandchildren. She had a special affection for animals, the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and all seasons of Outlander. Gifted with natural musicality, Florence was a vocalist with the voice of a songbird and often said music lived in her soul.
A proud member of the Thomasville community, Florence was a dedicated supporter of the Thomasville High School Bulldogs and a graduate of the Class of 1959. For 60 years, she could be found cheering enthusiastically at THS games, embodying the true spirit of school pride and hometown devotion.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Grant, and son-in-law, Scott Reese; her grandchildren, Ashlyn Reese O'Neil (Chris), Brenyn Reese and Gray Benedict; her great-grandchildren, Caden O'Neil and Reagan O'Neil; and her sister-in-law, Donna Grant Carney (Ron), along with her beloved cousins as close as siblings, and her precious nieces and nephews.
Florence was preceded in death by her daughter, Crista Grant Reese; her husband, Joseph "Joie" Graham Grant; and her parents.
