Ernest Joseph Desmore Jr., 77 of Monticello passed away on August 23, 2024. He was born on October 16, 1946 in Monticello to the late Ernest Joseph Desmore Sr. and Margey Leverne Wilson.
Ernest served in the United States Army.
He is survived by sons Ricky Desmore of Tifton/Thomasville, Travis Desmore (Dewi) of Tallahassee/Thomasville, and Kim Taylor who he loved as a daughter; grandchildren Hunter and Garrett Desmore; siblings Wyman Cecil Stubbs (W.C.) and wife Linda, Gary Stubbs, William Stubbs (Brenda), Kenneth Stubbs (Theresa), Martha Lynn Pehrsson (Anders), and Nancy Stubbs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Wyman Bascomb Stubbs (W.B.), and stepmother Olga Desmore.
A service will be held on Thursday, August 29th at 2 pm at the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel with Pastor Brent Welch officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 28th from 5-7 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
