Memorial services for Ernest F. Wahl, Jr. Buddy, 74, of Thomasville, are at 10:00am Monday, May 12 2008 at the Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel in Thomasville. Mr. Wahl died Friday, May 2, 2008. Born August 16, 1933, in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Dr. Ernest F. Wahl, Sr. and Marjorie Martin-Wahl. He attended Thomasville City Schools, graduated from Darton Prep School and graduated from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina with a degree in Economics. Mr. Wahl was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired as a Forrester from the Balfour Lumber Company. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Thomasville but he also attended Merrillville Baptist Church also in Thomasville. Survivors include his wife Anne Strickland Wahl of Thomasville; Nephews Marty Stipe wife Marianne of Salem, Oregon, Tom Stipe wife Beth of Pendleton, South Carolina; brother-in-law Richard Stipe of Orlando Florida; loving step-children Melissa Clanton husband Michael, Frank Barnes wife Pam, Rachel Brinson, and Laura Phillips all of Merrillville; grandchildren Leah, Chad & Jenna Clanton, Avery & Franki Barnes, and Taylor & Codee Brinson who knew him as "Papa Buddy" .
