Estelle Mims

Estelle Mims, of Boston Ga, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, at Southern Pines. She was born on August 27, 1932, to Charles David and Ella J Cannon. She was married to Thomas J Mims and was the youngest of 10 siblings.

Estelle was a member of First Newark Baptist Church who loved the Lord. Throughout her life Estelle was devoted to her family, raising her children with love and care. She dedicated her career to working alongside her husband to help build a successful business, Georgia Florida Burglar Alarm Co., Inc. Estelle's legacy is carried on by her children, David Mims (Debbie) of Tallahassee, Fl, Sandra Brookerd (Reese) of Boston Ga, Mike Mims (Harriett) of Thomasville Ga and Jeff Mims (Julie) of Boston, Ga; her grandchildren, JJ Giles (Bill), Shannon Yentzer (Rick), Ethan Mims and Garret Mims, all of Boston, Ga, Johnathan Mims of Thomasville, Ga, Christi Rowan, Clint Daughtry and Justin Mims (Haley) of Tallahassee, Fl; great-grandchildren, Emma and Elyse Giles, Ben, Ava and Jacob Yentzer, Lily and Dylan Daughtry, Layton Rowan, and Mark Mims.

Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings and granddaughter Heather Mims Daughtry.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Allen and Allen Funeral Home’s Celebration of Life Chapel. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Sunday, January 26 at 2:00 pm.
