Esther Ethel Spears Long, 101, of Thomasville, passed away on June 14, 2024. Born on November 12, 1922, Esther was a devoted homemaker and a cherished member of the East Side Baptist Church community. She found joy in caring for children and her nurturing spirit touched the lives of many.
Esther is survived by her loving son, Ned Duncan, who will forever hold her memory close to his heart. She was preceded in death by her two beloved husbands, Elbert Duncan and Ronald I Long, as well as her parents, two brothers, and a sister.
Funeral services to honor and celebrate Esther's life will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Allen & Allen Funeral Home with Reverend David Cook officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Laurel Hill Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will take place from 1-2 pm prior to the service.
