Services for Esther McLendon of Boston are at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 15, 2002 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Rev. Doug Harvey will officiate with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. McLendon died September 13, 2002 at her residence. Born OCtober 16, 1920 in Thomas Co., Ga. she was the daughter of the late Charles Hines & Leona Jackson Carter. On September 5, 1946 in Boston she married Autrey McLendon. She was a retired teacher from Thomas County School System. Survivors include her son & wife, Larry & Heather McLendon of Stone Mountain, GA., granddaughter, Samantha McLendon, nephews, Charles Carter and John Carter and sister-in-law, Dot Carter all of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by a brother Glenn Carter. Memorials may be made to Boston Methodist Church. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com
