Ethel Clark Watkins

Graveside service for Ethel Clark Watkins, 88, of Thomasville, will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Timothy Filston will officiate. Mrs. Watkins passed away on September 24, 2015 at Camellia Gardens. Born March 17, 1927 in Cairo, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Kater C. and Lagrue Vickers Clark. She was married to Baker Ewen Watkins, Jr., who preceded her in death. Mrs. Watkins worked at Southern Bell and retired after 38 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include son Baker Ewen Watkins, III (Barbara) of Thomasville; daughter, Joyce Watkins Kuykendoll of Ft. Gaines, Georgia; Walt Killingsworth (Ceri), Amy Fix (Josh), Jenny Bertschy (Garret), Mich Killingsworth (Lisa), Beau Watkins, 8 great grandchildren, brothers Alfonso B. Clark, and Adrian P. Clark all of Cairo; and sister, Marilyn C. Simpson of Eastman, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother Kater F. Clark.
