Eula Lucille Brown Welch

Mrs. Eula Lucille Brown Welch of Cairo, Georgia – Beachton Community passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, October 11, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Welch was born March 9, 1927 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Dr. Thomas Ponder Brown and the late Eula Alma Brandon Brown. She retired from Southwestern State Hospital after 27 years and was a member of Bethpage Methodist Church. Mrs. Welch is survived by her husband of 72 years, Stephen Handford Welch. The couple has three children, Bruce Welch (Diane), Brenda Roberson and Blane Welch (Tonya Schafer); seven grandchildren Donna Knight (Eddie), Valarie Harrison (Brian), Reese Welch, Roxie Singletary, Rebecca Culverson, Chaske Welch (Amber), and Blake Welch and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ponder Swain and Viola Shull both of Thomasville, Georgia. Graveside services will be private and held at a Family Cemetery.
