Eula Mae Plymel Kelly

Services for Eula Mae Plymel Kelly, 88 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mack Luke and Rev. Dr. Tom Jacobs will officiate and interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darin Foy, Caleb Foy, Grant Foy, Ben Foy, Jake Higgs, and John Higgs. Mrs. Kelly passed away August 21, 2014 at Camellia Gardens. Born May 7, 1926 in Autryville, she was the daughter of the late Harley Frank Plymel and Verlon Martha Clark Plymel. On December 23, 1944 in Moultrie she married William Boyd Kelly, who preceded her in death. They were married for 63 years upon the death of her husband. Mrs. Kelly was co-owner of Kelly’s Nursery with her husband for 35 years and over the years worked various jobs with her last being at Wal-Mart, retiring in 2002. She was a member of New Growth Baptist Church for many years and recently joined First Baptist Church, to be with family, where she attended the Joy Sunday School Class. She loved seek-n-find puzzles, traveling and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Sabra Kelly Foy and husband Ray of Thomasville; grandchildren, Delisa Higgs and husband Barry of Huntsville, Ala, Dale Foy of Savannah, Darin Foy and wife Wendy of Richmond Hill, Karen Kelly of Atlanta and Christopher Kelly of Wakulla, Fl and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Dennis Boyd Kelly; brothers & sisters, Alvin Plymel, Irene Joiner, Olan Plymel, Mildred Boyd, Lois Cooper and Perry Plymel.
