Eunice H. Davis passed away July 3, 2017 at Archbold Medical Center. She was born March 24, 1926 in Lulaton, GA to Needham Vandy Ham and Genie Wainright Ham. Survivors include daughter Linda Pack, Thomasville; Dr. Mike (Dr. Teresa) Pack, Lakeland, FL; Dr. Ralph (Lynn) Pack, Stockbridge, GA, and Vandy (Diane) Davis, Thomasville. Grandchildren: Michelle Pack, West Palm Beach, FL; Melissa (Mark) Strain, Winter Garden, FL; Tiffany MacNew and Heather (Marvin) Tarver, Winder, GA; Erin (Clark) Lipsey
and Andrea Davis, Thomasville. Great-grandchildren: Madison Strain and Mason Strain, Winter Garden, FL; Hayden Tarver, Charlie Tarver, Liam MacNew and Tate MacNew, Winder, GA; and Davis Lipsey of Thomasville. She was Nana and Granny Davis to many others including Brian Grady, Barbie A. Peace and Blake Anderson. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister, Pearl H. Stokes, brothers Oscar Ham and Emory Lee Ham, and husbands Selmon R. Pack and Oscar Davis, Jr. Mrs. Davis was a hard working lady that enjoyed sharing her many gifts and talents. She loved people. As secretary to the principal at Thomasville High School for 25 years, it was her joy to help and encourage students, teachers and staff. She had the amazing gift of caring for children and loved working in the nursery at First Baptist Church for 20 years, and in the nursery at All Saints Episcopal Church for 15 years. She was the secretary for Dr. Ken and Angie Fuller for many years, retiring at age 82 and was considered the unofficial counselor, always encouraging and loving people. Through her working at the school, serving at the church nurseries and many years of babysitting for families in Thomasville, she touched countless lives of young people and will always be fondly remembered.
She resided at Southern Pines Assisted Living for the past two years. The family appreciates the loving care she received from the Resident Assistants. Special thanks to Dr. Jim Thomas, Dr. Teresa Coleman, Dr. Chip Hancock, Dr. Craig Fredericks, Dr. Gerald Kadis and the staff at Archbold Medical Center in ICU and on the sixth floor. Mrs. Davis loved the Lord and was an active member of First Baptist Church. We are thankful, with Jesus Christ as our Savior, we will see her again one day. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomasville Thomas County Public Library 201 N. Madison St. Thomasville, GA 31792. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 5, 5-7 pm in the chapel at Allen & Allen. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 6, 10 am in the First Baptist Church Chapel.
