Funeral services for Eva Mae Willis, 92, of Tallahassee, will be Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Dawson St. Baptist Church, where she was a Charter Member. Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and internment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers for "Big Mimi". Born May 30, 1917 in Thomas Co., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Pearl Palmer Smith. She lived in Thomas Co for most of her life, having lived in Tallahassee since March 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, L. O. Buster Willis. Mrs. Willis was a homemaker. Survivors include 3 daughters Gwen Pillow Mickey of Goliad, TX; Deana Boullion of Angleton, TX; Hilda Crook Mark Ellerbee of Tallahassee, FL; and a son Len Willis Trish of Vorore, TN. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Russell Smith of Pavo, Palmer Smith of Thomasville and a sister Hazel Bradley of Tallahassee. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren, Mike Pillow Claudia, Shelly Rugh Teddy, Lynda Koehn Ronnie, Bobby Bullion Kim, Teresa Goodwine Royce , Diann Dannhaus Art, Paul Boullion, Brett Crook Susan, Buff Crook Michael, Gregory Willis, Tim Willis and 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
