A private graveside service will be held for Evalina Mitchell Kilburn, 95, of Thomasville at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Kilburn died April 6, 2009 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. Born November 30, 1913, in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Martha Mallette and Samuel Jones Mitchell. She worked with the Federal Government in Washington and was a charter member of the Service League and a member of DAR. She formerly lived in New York and Tallahassee. Survivors include sister and brother-in-law, Louise Mitchell and Jefferson Monroe Golden, Jr. of Thomasville; sister-in-law, Ethel Scott Mitchell of Valdosta; nieces, Louise Mitchell Golden, Martha Golden Foster, Patricia Golden Blanton, Ethel Scott Mitchell, Mary Mallette Mitchell Faherty and Mary Golden; nephew, Jefferson Monroe Golden, III.
