Evelyn Nadine Wright

Funeral services for Evelyn Nadine Wright, 92, of Boston will be 2:00PM, Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim Phillips will officiate. Mrs. Wright passed away March 6, 2016 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born April 30, 1923 in Eidson, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Nellie Humphries Blackburn. Mrs. Wright was preceded by her husband Johnny O. Wright and daughter, Maryline Wright Strickland. She was a member of Boston Baptist Church. She was an assistant librarian for the Boston Library, a beautician, was president of 20th Century Club for many years and was also the poll manager of Boston Voting Prescient for many years. Survivors include daughter Barbara Wright Adams and husband Wayne of Boston; son-in-law, Harvey Strickland of Quitman; grandchildren, Amy Adams Adkinson and husband Jeff of Damascus, Georgia, Angela Adams Phillips and husband Lee of Boston, Alison Strickland Wider and husband Burt of Quitman, April Strickland Hart and husband Jonathan of Pavo; great grandchildren, Miranda Wider, Kaitlyn Atkinson, Sawyer Wider, Taylor Culpepper, Quincey Hart, and Isabelle Hart. The family would like to thank the Presbyterian Home staff for the great care they showed while she was there. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM before the service.
