Everett "Cooter" Barlow Jr

Graveside service for Everett Barlow, Jr. will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Arkansas Street with Rev. Lee Waller officiating. Everett “Cooter” Barlow, age 66, passed away on January 20, 2022, at his home. He was born on April 8, 1955, a son to the late Bo and Merle Barlow. Cooter was a Cairo High School graduate class of 1973. He furthered his education at Thomas Technical College. Cooter was employed at Oil Dri for 30 years. He then owned C.C.R. Construction and later worked for Warbick Farms. He was a member of Dawson Baptist Street Church and an avid fisherman and hunter. He also loved his Georgia Bulldogs. GO DAWGS! Survivors include his wife Karen Cummings Barlow of Coolidge; sister Marilyn (Charles) Smith of Albany; brothers Buddy Barlow of Cairo and Lynn Barlow of Knoxville; sisters-in-law Jennifer (Steve) Strickland and Crystal (Mark) Clanton; father and mother-in-law Bob and June Cummings; 2 nieces and 7 nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Shane Barlow. Friends and family are invited to view from 12-4 on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Allen and Allen Funeral Home.
