Graveside services for Everett Sumner of Thomasville are at 10:00AM on Monday, June 4, 2007 at Salem Cemetery in Pavo, GA. The Rev. Gene Vinson will officiate. Mr. Sumner went peacefully home to be with the Lord and Savior after a lengthy illness on June 2. He was born January 6, 1924 in Tift County GA and proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He was retired from Balfour Lumber Company and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mr. Sumner was a loving and devoted husband and father and was loved by all that knew him for his kind nature. Survivors include his loving and dedicated wife of 63 years, Flonnie Sumner, daughter and son-in-law, Saundra and Julian Law of Jacksonville, FL, three grandsons, Scott Law of Thomasville, Jesse Sumner of Atlanta, GA, Jamie Sumner of Tallahassee, FL; brother and sister-in-law Merle and Martha Sumner; sister, Florence Suber; several nieces and nephews including his special nieces, Janet Clark and Faye Jones. He was preceded in death by his son Doyle Sumner and grandson Corey Sumner. Special thanks to Merle and Martha Sumner and family, Jo Kirkland, Lathy Lanighan, Carolyn McMath and Janet Clark for the continuous help and support the past six years.
