Everette Randolph Reeves, a devoted husband, beloved father, and cherished grandfather, passed away on July 13, 2024, at the age of 78, in the home he built for his family. Deeply loved by all, especially his wife and children, Everette was born on April 9, 1946, in Ochlocknee, GA, to Lota Rebecca Lewis. He grew up to embody resilience, strength, and kindness.
Everette’s life was defined by his unwavering dedication to his family and friends. A graduate of Central High School, he devoted his life to his wife, Virginia Young Reeves, of 56 years, and their children, always putting his family first. Everette was a natural caregiver, always ready to help those he loved and supported. His compassion, honesty, and integrity touched everyone he met.
His life was one of bravery and inspiration, marked by his commitment to serving others through his faith in Christ. Everette was a devoted husband to Virginia and a loving father to his two children, Sherrie Reeves Peavy (Paul Peavy) and Jason George Reeves (Kannex Fung). He was also a beloved grandfather to Lauren Peavy Seymour (Landon Seymour) and a dear brother to Larry M. Reeves. Everette cherished spending time with his family, enjoying activities like camping, watching air shows, NASCAR, and cheering for the Thomas County Yellowjackets and Atlanta Falcons. His greatest joy came from family dinners filled with laughter.
Everette’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and service. He touched the lives of countless people during his lifetime, and his impact will continue to be felt for years to come. His family and friends take comfort in knowing that his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched and the example of courage and kindness he set for us all.
A visitation will be held on July 16, 2024, at Allen and Allen Funeral Home at 10:00 am, followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 am.
