Fannie Jayne Livingston

Fannie Jayne Livingston, a compassionate and giving soul, passed away peacefully in Thomasville, GA on November 24, 2023, at the age of 98. Born on June 26, 1925, in Muskogee, OK, Fannie lived a life filled with love, kindness, and unyielding dedication to her family and community.
Fannie was the epitome of grace and generosity, dedicating her life to caring for her loved ones as a devoted homemaker. Her nurturing and compassionate nature extended beyond her own family, as she selflessly engaged in numerous volunteer endeavors. Fannie's commitment to service was exemplified through her role as the president of the local Salvation Army and her active participation in the Toastmistress club, where she uplifted and inspired others through her public speaking.
Never one to settle, Fannie pursued her education later in life, earning a Bachelor's Degree in her 50s. This achievement highlighted her thirst for knowledge and her unwavering determination to conquer new heights.
Fannie had the opportunity to explore the world, residing in Japan, Guam, and the Philippines during her lifetime. Her travels allowed her to embrace different cultures, widen her perspective, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the diversity of the human experience.
Fannie's legacy lives on through her loved ones. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Townsend, and son, Harry Livingston. She will be dearly missed by her sister, Elizabeth Hickey of Muskogee, OK, who shared a lifetime of memories and sisterly love with her. Fannie leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of her six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Fannie was preceded in death by her husband Harry D. Livingston, three beloved siblings, who undoubtedly welcomed her home with open arms. As we reflect on the beautiful life she lived, may we find solace in knowing that Fannie is now reunited with her loved ones, eternally embraced in their warm presence.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Fannie's remarkable life will be held at a future date at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Oklahoma.
