Beautiful People touch our lives in the most memorable ways that leave a lifelong impression and no matter at what period of her life you remember her from her childhood years to adult you knew where she stood in her walk with her Lord. Faye Tuten, 81 of Thomasville, Georgia a devoted and loving wife, mom, sister and Nana was just that person and she joined her family and friends who were believers in heaven on August 7, 2021 in Thomasville, Georgia after a challenging battle with End Stage Breast Cancer and End Stage Dementia. Visitation with the family will be held at Allen & Allen Funeral Home, 110 W. Hansell Street, Thomasville, GA on Friday August 13, 2021 from 5:00PM-7:00PM with a celebration of her life will be held at Dawson Street Baptist Church on Saturday August 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM with a private family graveside burial to follow at Bold Springs Methodist Church cemetery. Born in Thomasville, Georgia on May 14, 1940 in Ochlocknee, Georgia to Raiford and Theatis Pendergast. Faye graduated in the first graduating class of Central High School in 1959. Faye married her high school sweetheart in June of 1961, Larry Thomas Tuten and enjoyed 52 years of marriage before his death in October of 2013. During their 52 years of marriage they had three daughters, and three granddaughters. Over her life she enjoyed being a stay at home mom and later a career outside the home where she was employed by Flowers Foods, Southwestern State Hospital and then closed our her working career Archbold Medical Center where she retired from Medical Records in June 2010. After her retirement she enjoyed her life immensely being a doting Nana to her three granddaughters and traveling when the opportunity arose with her husband and lifelong friends. Over her life she was a faithful member of Dawson Street Baptist Church in Thomasville. She loved her Sunday School class members and their Tuesday evening gatherings at Dairy Queen where they met for sharing stories, laughter and day to day life experiences. Faye leaves an immeasurable legacy and is survived by her three daughters, Cindi Alderdice of Adairsville, Georgia, Lynn Cochran of Tallahassee, Florida and Becky Clanton of Freeport, Florida and her three adored granddaughters, Elizabeth Presley Cochran, Camille Grace Cochran, Hanah Jewel Alderdice, her brother W.L. Pendergast of St. Petersburg, FL, a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and a well extended family as both she and Larry were each one of six siblings. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Larry Thomas Tuten. Also preceding her were her sisters Wilene Watkins and Delores Carlton, her brothers Charles Pendergast and Melvin Pendergast.
