Faye S. Lastinger Young

Memorial service for Faye S. Lastinger Young of Boston, GA are 10:00AM, Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Boston United Methodist Church. Ms. Young passed away on June 25, 2018. Born July 31, 1941 in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Sgt. Allan and Pauline Sims. She graduated from Clovis High School and Thomas Tech in Thomasville. She was formally employed at Southwestern State Hospital, and also was previously a teacher’s aide and volunteered several years for The Salvation Army and Thomas County Central Middle School. Ms. Young was preceded in death by a brother, William L. Akins, a sister, Allana Courson and a daughter, Robin Paula Holmes Francis. She is survived by sons, Ricky Lastinger, Richard Lastinger (Buddy) and Tony Young, Jr. (T.J.); grandchildren, Brigette Burk and husband Daniel Burk, Ray and Charlotte Holmes and Makayla and Ryan Lastinger; great grandchild, Andrew Burk, Ally Burk, Bryson Gilmer and Brantley Gilmer; nieces Sherry Ball and Deborah Akins and nephews Bobby Case and LaMar Akins.
