F.C. (Ferdnand) Ring

F.C. (Ferdnand) Ring, 86 of Thomasville, passed away on July 27, 2025, at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on September 22, 1938, in Boston, GA, to the late Herbert and Annie Ring.

F.C. proudly served in the National Guard, followed by a period in the Air Force, which included three years stationed in Germany. His dedication to education saw him teaching auto mechanics at Thomas Technical College and Pelham High School for a total of 42 years, where he inspired countless students.Known for his generous spirit, F.C. was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially when it came to repairing vehicles for friends and family. He also loved to play the harmonica, bringing joy to family gatherings. His greatest treasure was his family, particularly his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. F.C. was also an active member of First Newark Baptist Church, where he contributed to his community and shared his faith.

F.C. leaves behind his beloved spouse, Anne Youmans Ring; children Elaine Massey of Thomasville and Bryant Ring (Sherry) of Thomasville; sisters Emily Carnahan and June Harris; grandchildren Kasey Massey, Kevin Massey, Kyle Massey, Brittany Ring, and Christopher Ring (Kaylee); great-grandchildren Leighton & Haiden.

He is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Keith Massey, and siblings Herbert Ring Jr., Mary Belle Duncan, Nellie Mae McDonald, Frances Moore, Russell Ring, Myrtice Wilson, Maurice Ring, and Ann Wilson.

Funeral services for F.C. Ring will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at First Newark Baptist Church. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel.
