Services for Felix E. Atkinson will be held at Allen & Allen Funeral Home on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11 AM with pastor Tim Martin officiating. Felix passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, at Glenn-Mor nursing home in Thomasville. He was born in Bainbridge on September 16, 1954, to the late Pauline Majors and Felix E. Atkinson Sr. A local drumming legend, Felix spread his light and joy to the world through his love for music. He is survived by his children Clay Atkinson of Cairo, Cole Atkinson (Jada) of Boston, Emily Atkinson of Jacksonville Beach, Fl., and Celie Atkinson (Gregg Whitcomb) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Skylar Mae Atkinson, Easton Colter Atkinson, and Connor James Atkinson; as well as brother Terry Atkinson (Sandy) of Cairo. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Travis and Greg Atkinson.
