Florence Powers

Graveside services for Florence E. Powers, 88, of Thomasville, will be at 3:00PM on Monday, March 12, 2018 on Mississippi St. in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Rev. Eric Tinsley will officiate. Mrs. Powers passed away on March 9, 2018 at her residence. Born September 3, 1929 in Chattahoochee, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Viola Jones Hesters. She was married to Frank Powers, who preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughters Ruby Tinsley and husband Russell, Linda Poss and husband David, Norma Judd and husband James, and Helen Skipper and husband Gary all of Thomasville; sons Dan Powers, Wendell Powers, and Donnie Powers all of Thomasville; nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Rogers Powers and her granddaughter Selena Tinsley. The family will receive friends on Monday prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00PM at the funeral home.
