Services for Floyd Thomas Banks, Sr. of Cairo, are at 2:00PM on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Westside Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Jerry Lancaster and the Rev. William Cain will officiate and interment will be at Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Mr. Banks died August 7, 2006 at his residence. Born October 1, 1919 in Grady Co., GA he was the son of the late Bryon and Callie Elizabeth Brady Banks. He was married to Myrtle Collins Banks who survives. Mr. Banks was a veteran of the United States Army. He was an automobile paint and body repairman and was a member of Thomasville Masonic Lodge #369. Other survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd Thomas, Jr. and Barbara Banks of Dallas, TX, Bobby Wayne and Sue Jones Banks of Thomasville, daughter, Tammy Marie Calhoune of Thomasville, daughter-in-law, Shirley Banks of Cairo, GA; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
