Graveside services for Frances E. Bass, 95, of Tallahassee, Florida, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 6 2017 at Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Mrs. Bass passed away April 29, 2017 in Tallahassee, Florida. Born December 11, 1921 in Grady County, she was the daughter of Joseph Davis and Clara Davis. On September 5, 1942, in Thomasville she married James Huel Bass. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Nancy Bass of Tallahassee, FL; sister, Dorothy Rouse of Screven, GA; granddaughter and husband, George and Faye Bass of Thomasville, GA and Fred Bass of Meigs. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Iris Ann Shaffer. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308-5428.
