Services for Frances Elizabeth Lowe Brooks, 72, of Thomasville, are at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, where she was a member. The Rev. Brent Welch will officiate and interment is in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Ralph Craven, David Etheridge, Ronnie Thornton, Jeffery Hurst, Austin Craven and Stan Burnham. Mrs. Brooks died March 5, 2009 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Born April 26, 1936, in Decatur County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Nettie Josey Lowe. In 1983, in Thomasville, she married Thurman Jack Brooks who preceded her in death in 2001. She was very active in the Senior Citizen's Center, and loved all who attended. She was a former member of Women's Aglow. Survivors include daughter, Judy Barnes of Albany; son, Kevin Brooks of Thomasville; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister and special friend, Kathlene Tillery of Albany; brothers, Leonard Jr. Lowe of Fort Myers, Fla. and James E. Lowe of Tallahassee, Fla.; sister, Hazel Long of Thomasville; sister, Pearl Murphy of N. C.; brother, Jack Lowe of Mascot, Fla.; sister, Janie Cone of Thomasville; sister Janette Lamb of Union Point; brother, Dale Dennler of Brunswick. She was preceded in death by a son, J.L. Nesmith; sisters, Madglene Littlefield, Beatrice Miller and Murlene Daughtry. Memorial contributions may be made to Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 16603 Highway 19 N, Thomasville, GA. 31757.
