Graveside services for Frances Louise Rogers Walker, 94, of Thomasville, will be held at a later date in East View Cemetery in Camden, Tenn. Mrs. Walker passed away Jan. 29 at Camellia Gardens Nursing Home in Thomasville, Ga., where she resided. Born, April 29, 1915, in Booneville, Miss., she was the daughter of the late George Prentiss and Flora Belle Gambill Rogers. On Sept. 21, 1941 in Booneville, she married B. H. Walker, who preceded her in death. Mr. Walker was for many years a Band Director for Butler High School in Augusta and Mrs. Walker was his longtime assistant. She was a homemaker and was a longtime member of Southgate Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Mary Louise and George Swift of Thomasville; son, Roger Frank Walker of Reno, Nevada; grandchildren, Emily Louise Gertsch and husband, Oscar of Tallahassee, Fla. and Bill S. Swift of Gunnison, Colorado; great-granddaughter, Charlotte Louise Gertsch; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, George Edward Rogers; and a sister, Dorothy Cox.
