Frances Dukes Renfroe Yawn
Services for Frances Dukes Renfroe Yawn, 91, of Quitman are at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007 at Quitman United Methodist Church, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the service. The Rev. Jay Roberson will officiate and interment is in Oakhill Cemetery. Mrs. Yawn died Oct. 9 at the Presbyterian Home of Quitman. Born April 10, 1916, in Irvin County, she was the daughter of the late William Monroe and Nancy Johnson Dukes. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jodie Renfroe and husband, Ernest Yawn. She was the owner of Renfroe?s Laundrette of Thomasville and was the activities director of the Presbyterian Home of Quitman. She was a member of the Quitman United Methodist Church, Red Hat Society, Methodist Women United and Forever Young. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Norman and LeGrande Renfroe of Thomasville; daughter and son-in-law, Alma and Joe Clements of Thomasville; grandchildren, Jody and Tammy Renfroe of Cairo, Mica Renfroe of Macon, Keith and Bobette Renfroe of Valdosta, Susan Jones of Denver, Colorado and John Mark and Dawn Jones of Clarksville; 10 great grandchildren, sisters, Fannie Snow and Gussie Ethridge both of Quitman.
