Francis E. Hunter

Service for Francis Wee E. Hunter, 88, of Thomasville, will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Pastor Henry Gainey will officiate and internment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Born November 21, 1924 in Wauchula, FL, he was the son of the late Mary Elizabeth and Lee Hunter. Mr. Hunter was a veteran of the United States Army. He was also a member of VFW, Elks, Moose, commander of VFW for many years, and coached little league for the YMCA. Mr. Hunter was married to Doris Reece Hunter, who preceded him in death. Other survivors include children Sherry Wands and husband Charles of Satellite Beach, FL; Gary Hunter of Thomaston, Ga; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Susan Hunter. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, c/o Scott Senior Center, P O Box 907, Thomasville, GA 31799.
