Frank Thomas Hunter, Jr.

Services for Frank T. Hunter, Jr., 89, of Thomasville will be held at the chapel of Allen & Allen Funeral Home on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 3 pm, with interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Owens will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2-3 pm prior to the service. Frank passed away April 1, 2024 peacefully at home. Born July 12, 1934 in Jacksonville, Fl., he was the son of Frank T. Hunter, Sr., and Kathryn Margaret Weliver. He went to Ga. Tech and then served four years in the Navy. Frank enjoyed owning his own business in Orlando (Hunter Bros TV), boating, camping, going on cruises, and spending time with his family.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lucile Hunter, and his children Frank (Buddy) Hunter III of Thomasville, David Hunter (Tracy) of Thomasville, and Cheryl Garner (Curt) of Englewood, Fl. Cherishing his memory are also his grandchildren David Thomas (Candy), Brit Hunter (Romona), Allen-Michael Johnson, and Katy Johnson, along with great-grandchildren Rylie Hunter and Chevy Benton. Mr. Hunter leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog, Peewee. He was predeceased by his brother, John Hunter but is survived by his sister-in-law, Andrea Hunter.
