Frank James Crowe
Graveside services for Frank James Crowe, 87, of Thomasville, are at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2007 in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Crowe died October 4, 2007. Born August 29, 1920, in Marietta, he was the son of the late William Vester and Myrtle Lucinda Philyaw Crowe. On September 25, 1942, in Atlanta, he married Betty Lou Corley Crowe, who preceded him in death after 42 years of marriage. Mr. Crow was a tile mechanic and an avid fisherman and hunter. He served during WWII as a M25 Prime Mover ?draggin wagon? driver in Patton?s Third Army outside the Battle of the Bulge. He enjoyed woodworking, dancing and cooking. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Jajala Crow and Skip Jayne of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Crowe Gravino and Kathaleen Crowe Castro; and brothers, William W.
