Services for Frank Spires, Sr, 78 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Glenn Deaver will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Spires grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Spires passed away August 30, 2012 at Archbold Hospital. Born June 3, 1934 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Thomas H. Spires and Mary Spires. He was married to Gracie Buckins Spires who preceded him in death. He was the owner of Spires Motor Company and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Spires was very active in the Thomasville Lions Club, where he served as President. He was also an active member of the Thomas County Central Booster Club. He is survived by his children, Frank Spires, Jr and wife Beth, Mary Ann Harwood and husband Andy and Linda Rish and husband Kenneth all of Thomasville; grandchildren, Chris Harwood and wife Keli, Jennifer Lewis and husband Nick, Daisy Spires Smith and husband Clay, Christy Spires Vafias and husband Tommy, Hollie Rish Rosser and husband Bo and April Rish; great-grandchildren, Austin Ragan, Brianna Ragan, Laney Smith, Gavin Harwood and Mady Starling, Kaitlyn Lewis, Nicholas Lewis, Chip Rosser, Eliza Rosser, Henry Rosser, Landon Gracson Spires, Joe Kyler Vafias, Chance Vafias, Haley Vafias and Mena Smith.
