Frankie Ann Gaines

Gathering for Prayer for Frankie Ann Gaines, 57, Thomasville, is at 7p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2002, at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel in Thomasville, GA. The Gathering will be followed by visitation that will continue until 9p.m. Interment is Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Hope Cemetery in Imboden, Ark., with McNabb Funeral Home, Imboden,Ark., in charge of arrangements. Ms. Gaines died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was director of corporate sales and marketing at Quality Inn & Suites. Gaines was a former Thomasville-Times-Enterprise lifestyles editor and later owner and president of Sky Valley Accommodations in Sky Valley. She returned to Thomasville four years ago and became head of public relations at Thomas University. A member of Thomasville Kiwanis Club,Ms. Gaines served on boards of directors of the Thomasville Entertainment Foundation and Miss Thomasville Scholarship Association. Of the Baptist Faith, she was a member of Women's Forum and a Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. Ms. Gaines was born July 24, 1945 , in Blytheville, Ark., a daughter of the late Frank Garfield Lewis and Exie Stutts Lewis. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Marshall and Johanna Gaines, Thomasville, Martin and Sadie Gaines, Lockport, Ill.; a grandchild, Alexis Gaines, Thomasville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold & Joann Lewis of Doddridge, Ark., Jack & Belle Lewis, Dell, Ark., Bobby and Shirley Lewis, Imboden; a sister-in-law, Gloria Lewis, Pocahontas, Ark. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Garfield Lewis, Jr. Donations may be made to the Ann Gaines Memorial Fund, Commerical Bank, P.O.
