Fred L. Mcquaig

Funeral services for Fred L. McQuaig, 84, of Thomasville, will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at First Baptist Church Chapel. Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner will officiate and internment will be in Booth Cemetery in Manor, GA. Mr. McQuaig died on December 14, 2012 in Thomasville. Born October 10, 1928, he was the son of the late Baxley Orbie and Thelma Strickland McQuaig. He was married for 60 years to the late Ida Peaches Dent McQuaig. Mr. McQuaig was retired after 35 years from Florida Power and Light where he was Director of Land. He served in the Marine Corp during World War II and was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter Suzann McQuaig of Thomasville and a brother and sister in law Roy & Virginia S. McQuaig of Valdosta. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. McQuaig was preceded in death by a sister Joyce McQuaig Riggs and a brother Baxley O. McQuaig, Jr. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 on Monday, December 17th at Allen & Allen Funeral Home
