Fred Smith Bonner, Jr.

Graveside services for Fred Smith Bonner, Jr., 56, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Burns Willis will officiate. Mr. Bonner died May 18, 2009, at his residence. Born Sept. 1, 1952, in Lowndes County, he was the son of the late Fred Smith, Sr. and Emily Griner Bonner, who survives. On April 3, 1982, in Valdosta, he married Sandra K. Bonner, who survives. Survivors include a daughter, Courtney Margaret Bonner of Thomasville; brother, Bruce Bonner of Valdosta; sister, Lauri Bonner of Valdosta; cousin, Phil Sage of Boulder, Colorado. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 975, Thomasville, Ga. 31799. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
