Freeman Evans

Funeral service for Freeman C. Evans, 71, of Thomasville will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Gatlin Creek Baptist Church, where he was a member. Pastor Mitch Connor will officiate. Mr. Evans passed away on December 29, 2016 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He was born in Macon, GA on May 27, 1945 to Willis and Lelia Haddock . Mr. Evans was a veteran of the United States Navy. On June 20, 2015, he married Debbie G. Evans, who survives. He was a retired bus driver for Thomas County Schools. Other survivors include daughters Melissa Bassett and husband Richard of Dublin, Georgia, Lacolla Harper and husband Eric of Boston, Georgia and Michele Palmer and husband Paul of Boston; son Keith Evans of Brunswick, Georgia; grandchildren Allen Bassett, Matthew Bassett, Brandon Evans, Austin Harper, Kelsey Harper, Haley Palmer and Hayden Palmer; great grandchildren Parker Bassett, Brayden Bassett and Hunter Williams; two sisters and one brother. The family will receive friends 2:00PM until 3:00PM prior to the service at Gatlin Creek Baptist Church. Family would like donations to be sent to Gatlin Creek Baptist Church, P.O.
