Services for Garnell Joseph Hobbs of Thomasville are Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at 2:00PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Louis Chastain, Don Chastain, Wandell Hobbs, Casty Hobbs, Raymond Hobbs and Irvin Hobbs, Jr. Mr. Hobbs died January 18, 2003. Born August 15, 1948 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Theron & Shirley Jackson Hobbs. He was a carrier for the United States Postal Service and a Army veteran where he received a Purple Heart in Veitnam. Survivors include a son & daughter-in-law, Kane & Melissa Hobbs of Forsyth, Ga.; grandchildren, Stephanie Cook, Tiffani Edlridge and Jessica McGuire; brothers, Jerry Hobbs & Paul Hobbs of Thomasville; nephews, Bobby Hobbs of Kansas and Doyle Hobbs of Thomasville.
