Graveside services for Gayle Pearce Smith, 73 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 20, 2020 at Rosewood Cemetery in Barwick with Rev. Gerald Horne will officiating. Ms. Smith passed away March 15 at Archbold Hospital. Born June 20, 1946 in Cairo, she was the oldest of eight girls born to the late Delma Pearce and Ethelyn Carter Pearce. If there was one thing she would want you to know about her it would be that she loved Jesus and her family very much. She was a very sweet and genuine lady. Gayle loved everyone and she let the love of Jesus shine through her. She talked about the Lord's love and what He had done for her and wanted to share that love with everyone. Gayle is fully healed and rejoicing in heaven with her Savior and her loved ones. She loved spending time with her family and knowing that if her family was happy she was happy. She also enjoyed going and spending time with friends at the Senior Center. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Bell (Lorene) of Moultrie, Rhonda Bell of Winder, Melissa Hurst (David) of Thomasville and Donna Smith (Jessie) of Thomasville; grandchildren, Valerie Walls (Brandon), Vanessa Bell (Kevin), Brandon Bell, Mitch Mitchell (Brittney), Jacob Goss, Jordan Hurst (Taylor), Tyler Woods, Katelyn Parmer (Austin) and Morgan Hurst; great-grandchildren, Hunter Walls, Kaydon Walls, Jayda Gonzalez, Mason Mitchell, Cloey Mitchell, Toby Mitchell, Jayce Mitchell, Blake Hurst, Ellie Parmer and Sawyer Parmer; sisters, Marilyn Roberts of Thomasville, Annette Baggett (Danny) of Fitzgerald, Lynnette Harvell (Bobby) of Fitzgerald, Janice Johnson (Mike) of Coolidge and Sheila Whitley (Mike) of Thomasville; aunt Carolyn Newsome of Cairo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
