Gene Autry May

Gene Autry May, aged 82, passed away on October 24,2024, in Thomasville, GA. Born on November 16, 1941 in Dinsmore, FL. Gene was known as a devoted Christian, a loving husband, and father.
Gene proudly served in the Army, where he was recognized as a disabled veteran. After his military service, he dedicated over 30 years as a piper at Industrial Boiler, a role he performed with diligence and pride.
Gene was a cherished member of the Enon Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Penny May; son, Nathan May; brother, Larry May; sister, Carolyn Robbins; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gene was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Glenda May, and his parents, Corene and Wilbur May.
A graveside service will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Monday, October 28th at 2pm to honor Gene’s life and legacy.
Gene’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and his commitment to his faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
