Services for General Bud Helm Turner, Jr. of Ochlocknee are at 5:00PM on Sunday, September 12, 2004 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. His nephew the Rev. Jim Cox will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are member of the American Legion Post 265. Mr. Turner died September 10, 2004, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born June 16, 1934 in Waycross, GA. he was the son of the late General Helm Turner, Sr. and Ruth Wasdin Turner. He was married to Eunice Hartley Majors Turner who survives. Mr. Turner installed Coolers and was a Farmer. He was a member of the American Legion Post 265. Other survivors include a son, James Turner, sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Susan Turner all of Miami, FL, Robert and Vicki Turner of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, stepdaughter, Gail Majors Hiers, and son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and JoAnn Majors all of Thomasville, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sister, Elizabeth Cox of Taylor, FL. A sister, Roma Brannon, preceded him in death. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel from 4:00PM on Sunday until service time.
