Geneva Lipham Smith

Services for Geneva Lipham Smith, 89 of Boston will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 11, 2017 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend James Guthrie will officiate and interment will be in Boston Cemetery. Mrs. Smith passed away August 8, 2017 at Rose City Health & Rehab. Born September 11, 1927 in Coolidge, she was the daughter of the late James Tilton Lipham and Eunice Eddings Lipham. She was married to Paul Julian Smith, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2012. She was retired form Southwestern State Hospital as a secretary. She is survived by her children, Paul J. Smith, Jr and wife Pam of Colquitt, Ginger Bird of Tallahassee, Henry Titus Smith and Mark Brent Smith both of Boston; sister, Lelia Dekle of Kissimmee, Florida; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Merita Smith Rigor; sister, Reba Dekle and brothers, J.T. Lipham and Freddie Lipham. Donations may be made to Bethany Hospice of Valdosta, Building B, 2700 N Oak St, Valdosta, GA 31602. The family will greet friends 6-8pm, Thursday, August 10 at the funeral home.
