George P. Bass

Graveside services for George P. Bass, 85, of Thomasville will be 10:00AM, Friday, August 10, 2018 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Tennessee Street. Mr. Bass passed away on August 7, 2018 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born June 21, 1933 in Grady County, he was the son of the late Jim Bass and Olga Bass. In 1952, he married Faye Joiner Bass, who survives. He worked at Conradi Pest Control and then later at Dixon Pest Control. Survivors include sons, Ken Bass and Mike Bass both of Thomasville; daughters, Lynn Bacon and husband John of Thomasville and Rhonda Carter of Ochlocknee; grandchildren, Shane Connelly, Joseph Willis, and Jennifer Kirkland; great grandchildren, Tyler Kirkland, Veronica Cornelius and Landon Norris; and brother Freddie Bass of Meigs. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Bass and grandson, Morgan Connelly. The family will receive friends 5:00PM until 7:00PM, Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the funeral home.
