George Allison Collier Jr., born on January 24, 1955, in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025. A resident of Thomasville, Georgia, George leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedication, not just in the construction industry but also in the hearts of his family.
George was known for his skills as a handyman and his unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship. His passion for building and renovation reflected his desire to create spaces that families could enjoy for years to come.
George cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He took great joy in being a father and grandfather. His kindness, humor, and gentle spirit will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children Patrick Allen of Cairo, Brandi Poeske (James) of Metcalfe, George Allison Collier III (Missy) of Thomasville, and R.T. Collier (Miranda) of Thomasville; grandchildren Morgan Allen, Bailey Allen, Brandon Allen, Ashlyn Collier, Jayden Collier, Kaylee Collier, Karlee Collier, Ava Sinclair, Caleb Sinclair, and Charlie Collier; siblings Georgia Ann Beck of Camilla, Marie Bradford (Rocky) of Panama City, and Wade Collier (Dreama) of Pensacola.
He is preceded in death by his wife Debra Jewell Collier and siblings Kathy Warren, Denise Bamburg, and Nadine White.
A service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am prior to the service.
