George Kennethken Hamilton

A visitation for George Kenneth Ken Hamilton will be Wednesday, February 23, 2005 from 7Pm to 9Pm at Allen & Allen funeral home. Mr. Hamilton, formally of St. Simons Island and Atlanta, died February 21, 2005 at his residence. Born November 10, 1919 in Millen, Ga. he was the son of the late Rev. George Wharton & Bessie Naomi Barton Hamilton. In 1948 he married Anna Hansen Hamilton who survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the VFW, a Mason, 1952 graduate of the University of Georgia, a member of the Venetian Society and a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity. He is also survived by a daughter, Elaine Hamilton of Thomasville, a granddaughter and her husband Kristina Joy & Christopher Brian Minchew of Americus. Great grandchildren, Wesley Ian Smith, Anna Lenora Delaney Smith and Hamilton Morgan Minchew. Sister Margaret Naomi Adams of Decatur, Al., numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Brother Joe Sharp Hamilton, sisters, Helen Strain, Lavana Gardner and Francis Pippin, precedes him in death. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Ave, Thomasville, Ga 31792. A service will be held in Pine Log, Ga. at a later date.
